Starting from a young age, I have always had a passion to help people and make others feel good about themselves. I struggled finding a career that truly allowed me to extend helpful services. That was until in 2018, I started to break out in adult hormonal acne. I had never dealt with acne before and I found it mentally debilitating, exhausting, and my confidence slowly deteriorated. I tried everything under the sun but always refused to take accutane because of the harmful side effects. I wanted to take a more holistic approach and get to the root cause of my acne. This was the beginning of my path to becoming an esthetician. In school, I started to fall in love with all that the esthetics world had to offer. I made others feel good about themselves which in turn made me feel good inside. I decided that this was the career I was meant to be in. I began to focus on the acne side of skincare so that I could heal my skin and others. I never understood the reasoning as to why I got acne, but now I am grateful for the struggle because it allows me to empathize with those struggling with it as well.
